It's the end of the month. What have you accomplished?
Right now I'm accomplishing a pedicure after being at the place for a span of time I care not to mention. The people are very nice. The process could use some work. The whole idea of going home to pack up closets and drawers and who knows what else has slowly diminished over the past couple hours and a nice bottle of (Penfolds) Red Koonunga Hill from Australia (can be found at your local grocery store or Trader Joe's). So maybe tonight I will go home with my first gel pedicure, a sizable Thirty-One party order thanks to Ellen, and the worry that I still have no idea what mortgage I am going to pick. I still need to finalize my new Chateau Elle Tea home, paint the old house, and get it listed and pray. I have fully pushed into the universe that all is right and everything will work out and I will be a happy camper but this is a whole new experience and selling a home and buying at the same time is so strange. But get excited because the new house is going to be so awesome when I am finished! Is it summer yet? Laurbot

I don't really have an idea for Top 10 Tuesday this week. I could do the top 10 things I need to get done before I can put my house for sale but that seems boring and you probably don't really care about caulking, paint touch-ups and packing.
I finally had a chance last night to play some catch up with very much anticipated TV shows, so how about we talk about my top 10 favorite TV shows at the current moment:
Right? Maybe I need to add top 10 shows that are no longer on TV but everyone in the world should watch because they are AWESOME! Yes! It's a happy Monday and I feel somewhat productive in projects that seem to take forever.
But to the matter at hand. What are you reading? Lately I don't feel like I've been reading much. Maybe if we are lucky I will have a chance to finish at least one to two more books before end of month for a total of 10 books for January! Here are my latest active books:
Both require more attention than I'm used to but so far I'm enjoying them. I know Safely Home is highly recommended and becoming a very good story. Casual Vacancy ended up as the #4 best book of 2012. I know something amazing is going to happen soon. I'm only 25% through so I still have time to find the purpose. Maybe like Gone Girl that took some time and all of a sudden the purpose manifested and I couldn't put the book down until I finished it ... then literally yelled out loud when I finished. Regardless, everyone needs to read that one. J (my horror movie buddy) and I finally started American Horror Story: Asylum. Already SOOOOO much better than the first season. Adam Levine is awesome! AND ... I finally started the latest season of Downton Abbey. To say I am behind on some the more recent quality television is an understatement. Let's see how quickly I can make it through my DVR before my home sells. Starting NOW! Laurbot Biggest pet peeve - internet not working! Saturday night I was housesitting and for some reason the internet wasn't working. Of course, I didn't have a hotspot. So, instead I had to just watch movies, drink wine and read. Poor me. Last night, I was going to once again. My home internet wasn't working. Then I got tired and didn't want to find my hotspot. This morning, I did. If we're lucky I'll get two posts out today. SOOOOO ... here's the big news of the week, or past couple weeks. Chateau Tyler will soon be up for sale. I've spent the last two days starting the cleaning and packing process. Storage unit - check. Empty walls - check. Exhaustion - check. But it's all worth it. Because this is where the future Chateau Elle Tea will be located before the end of the year! Very excited. Can't wait for the final stages and see this puppy start to go up.
Guess I better shower. Laurbot Yes! This is it ... my version of "Tuesday Things", similar to the book blogger world "Friday Finds" but my own. Maybe a new book ... or a website/blog/post ... video, movie, song, etc. You know how it goes. This is going to be fun!
I think that's enough FINDS for one day. And I have successfully completed another blog. So, I'm on a mission, as always, and I hope I can become insightful and full of creativity and bring something new to the table every day. It only took me 24 more days to realize what Seth was trying to tell me through my subconscious as that CD sat in my car for months without being listened to.
Seth is always right. I'm pretty sure. Laurbot That's me. Yep. Full of broken promises. But I'm sure it was well worth the wait as I have been swamped since my summerish vacation to Phoenix, both at home and at work. Here's a fun picture just because it makes me happy and I'm sure you'll love it too: Ellen recently introduced me to this cool website - How Sweet It Is - and I love the Tuesday Things posts and since I have Top 10 Tuesday, I think I need to find something equally as cool for another day about all the random things I think I need to share in a nutshell, or my favorite things of the week, or even the funny things from work that I hope to publish in a book on day ...
Yes, one day I will have a book on the New York Times Best Seller's list, and then some. Has this post been random enough for you? I feel a recap of Phoenix coming soon ... maybe tomorrow. But tomorrow I have a date. Maybe not tomorrow. Hooray! Laurbot We all knew it was inevitable that some Top 10 Tuesday would be all about Jane Austen. I don't think this obsession will ever end. Which is a good thing because I LOVE Jane Austen.
I know once I get through the latest stack of new additions I'm sure this will all change up and will soon be about separate lists of movies vs. books. Oh boy! I can see the fun now - [okay maybe there was some sarcasm there]. Now I'm going to enjoy my mac & cheese, great wine from Sweet Valley Wines in Walla Walla. Big news coming soon! Laurbot So ... there goes that resolution. I haven't blogged in days and I blame it all on 70+ degree weather, sunshine, and am amazing group of women in Phoenix!
I'm going to be short and sweet and promise the next couple days will be double the posts full of vacation, 1/2 marathons, reading and much more goodness than I can hardly hold in. But right now, this 1/2 marathoner is ready to crash hard, rest, recover and jump back on the 5 degree Boise bandwagon. To all, sweet dreams, and happy chatting tomorrow. Laurbot aka "MS ROCKSTAR" Remember that thing I said about needing to check into Austen Anonymous? Yeah, I think that might need to happen to day. After visiting two local Phoenix bookshops this week (Bookmans & Half Price Books) I came away with a whole new collection of varieties of Pride & Prejudice varieties.
I guess that means it truly is a time to celebrate the 200th anniversary, my love of Mr. Darcy (who I hope to marry one day in some shape or form), and Austen. Above are the five books I got. My amazon wishlist hast recently been filled with a whole slew of new Austen-esque books. I've taken this obsession to a whole new level. I'm so glad that Ellen appeases this obsession by finding even more books related and adding them to my stack, because quite frankly I just can resist her. I'm sure everyone is now bored and wants to hear nothing more about Jane Austen. Sounds good to me ... at least for the time being. Let's finish a book, drink some wine, and be merry. Laurbot My mother sent me this the other day. It's a beautiful poem and very well written. A poem by Abigail Elizabeth McIntyre SHIT Except I'm in Phoenix and it's 70 degrees (not 5 degrees as it is in Boise).
Lucky us! Laurbot |
