There is a reason why you should keep up a daily blog or journal when traveling ... Eventually the days start blending together.
Tuesday was a star power morning and a lot of fun. We got up really early (3amish in Boise) and rallied to head to the Today Show. It did not disappoint. Then it was onto the free city ferry tour with a visit to lady liberty. If my memory was better, I would have remembered that the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are still closed after Hurricane Sandy and won't be open for a couple more months.
We got a great informative tour of:
- Hudson River - Chelsea piers - Pier 54 where the Titanic would have docked - Leonardo DiCaprio's house - Holland Tunnel - New Jersey - Brooklyn - Queens And MORE! It was cold and rainy from about noon on so we kept searching for shelter at The Strand (my favorite book store), H&M, the New York Public Library and Plant Hollywood.
We were tired and worn out from being drowned rats plus the early morning. Wednesday would be our biggest walking day yet so we needed a little down time and relaxed.

Yesterday was awesome. I know what it's like to walk Rodeo Drive and pretend I'm Julia Roberts (with more clothes on and less like a stripper). But ... To stand before the stairs that Carrie Bradshaw walked up and down every day (figuratively) OR gawk at the exterior only but not actual residence of Monica Gellar's apartment ... Yeah that was pretty cool. Get excited because Tuesday was full of star power! Yesterday was awesome. But ... To stand before the stairs that Carrie Bradshaw walked up and down every day (figuratively) OR gawk at the exterior only but not actual residence of Monica Gellar's apartment ... Yeah that was pretty cool. Our first full day wiped us out so I wanted to put fresh eyes on writing and saved it for morning.
We did a lot yesterday but still have so much more to do. We started of the day with one of many Starbucks visits (if only to use the bathroom) and then headed to have breakfast at Tiffany's. Our first full day wiped us out so I wanted to put fresh eyes on writing and saved it for morning.

And the tour is over. We grabbed a bite and a beer at the Playwight Celtic Pub then decided maybe a trip to the Top of the Rock would be a great way to end the day.
Today will be full of adventure. Get excited!!
Here we are. Day 1 and already it's been eventful. It only took most of the day to arrive with a 4am wake up call.
And we are off! Here's the low down on all the new firsts:
:: La Guardia - last time I flew into Newark so this was fun :: Long Island - now I know that the airport isn't really in Manhattan :: It rains in NYC in May :: The Mean Fiddler and its awesome and very cute Irish bartender, Bernard, was out first happy hour :: First official Broadway Play - Macbeth with Alan Cummings (the Good Wife) at the Ethel Barrymore Theater - think Eqyptian but smaller, built in 1928 Now it's wine planning time. Breakfast at Tiffany's, church and a tour of the city.
I'm beat. When I grow up .... I want to be like Mariska Hargitay ... (she's just a little too much fun) and I want to marry Alexander Skarsgard ... Am I asking for too much? Maybe.
