How does a literary geek go so long without mentioning a book? My life is surrounded by them. Here's the stack of unfinished books I've started writing as proof (I'm sure there's more in this chaos of this office): So, not onto bookish things like this survey I found from The Broke and the Bookish.
1. The book I'm currently reading: I just finished one but I should be starting Dark Places by Gillian Flynn for book club. Yikes. 2. The last book I finished: Angel by James Patterson. A quick, easy young adult book in the Maximum Ride Series. 3. The next book I want to read: Hmmm ... that's a hard one. I have a never ending list and full shelves with possibilities. I have funny read from a friend called White Girl Problems I will probably start after Dark Places. 4. The last book I bought: I bought three of the Penguin Drop Cap books - G, H, I - with a giftcard. Around the same time I bought two gift books for friends. 5. The last book I was given: The Fallen by Thomas Sniegoski - my May birthday book from Heidabelle. Book surveys are fun. That's me in a nutshell at the moment. The office needs a little organization and I need to see if I can crank out reading a bunch more books before August is over and I don't feel like a total reading failure.

So the week in photos didn't happen quite like I wanted but I'm determined to accomplish everything on my bucket list ... that means sticking to this regardless of what is going on.
July was crazy with unpacking and moving in and home projects but the changes have been well worth it and every day I feel more and more at home in this little big sanctuary I created. Here's the rest of July in a nutshell: Okay ... now it's time to just tell me "i told you so" ... there's no way you can write a blog post a day or say you will and actually do it. Is this I week I stick with it? Who knows. It's full of all sorts of adventures, and probably not much sleep.
It's Monday, to those people out in the world who don't really keep track. Back to work, not enough time on the weekend to get everything done, you come home and instead of being productive you want to sit on the couch and watch Graceland or something equally entertaining that doesn't require too many brain cells. I might have used them all up today. Either way ... it's been a roller coaster. The past four or five weeks have been and if we really wanted to debate about it all the past 8 months. Cliff Notes version ...
Today - almost done ... I hope. And there are still too many ideas rolling around in my head that span an endless array. I just might have enough juice to keep going a few days in a row. Or I'm just going back to the pool. Hello world. Where have I been? Apparently not here but that's about to change. Things have to change.
So ... one new thing will be "my week in photos". One item on my bucket list was take a photo a day for 365 days ... I've been slacking. Maybe this will help. A couple weeks ago I moved into my shiny, NEW, awesome house and for the past three months until this moment right now I didn't know where I belonged. Now I found home and she's beautiful and we fit perfectly together. NOW {shouty capitals and all} I kick off the photo adventure. Yell at me if I forget, because I know I take way too many photos but here's week one of new home life. |
